Welcome to the Iwerne Valley Benefice

The Iwerne Valley Benefice is made up of five parishes, Ashmore, Fontmell Magna, Sutton Waldron, Iwerne Minster and Shroton.  The Villages are situated on the edge of the Cranborne Chase and  the Blackmore Vale.  Our churches play an important role in the life of our villages.  Offering a wide range of worship, community events, coffee mornings and much much more We are proud to say that we cater for a variety of worship tastes within our Benefice, including 'Breakfast Church' especially designed to be family / Child friendly with breakfast provided for all, modern services of Morning worship, Services of Holy Communion based on both the more modern Common Worship settings and also in the older more traditional form 'The Book of common prayer'  We are very lucky to have a wonderful team of both Lay Worship Leaders and Clergy who run our services and who provide a fantastic variety of worship styles and teaching. Office hours - The Benefice Office is situated behind the Village hall in Shroton and is open each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 2pm till 5pm. Tel 01258 861576.


The I.V.B takes its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of Children young people and vulnerable adults who may be at risk very seriously and works with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.
